Sophia moved to the Washington Metropolitan area from Pittsburgh, PA in 1983. Sophia is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Psychology and Counseling. She currently attends Capital Seminary and Graduate School where she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Christian Care plus Divinity. Sophia has served the community as a volunteer counselor with the Bowie Crofton Pregnancy Clinic, a post-abortion stress Bible study leader, and a mentor at the Woodland Job Corps Center, in Laurel, MD, where she strived to encourage young women to avoid the trap of mediocrity and pursue excellence. In 2014, she started a discipleship ministry designed to support women married for one year or less find strength and hope through community care. She lives in Capitol Heights, MD with her husband Ronald and their marigold “Mr. Jonah.”
